Design ideal is inspired by Chinese knot which is popular throughout Chinese history. The art of trying knots dates back to prehistoric times. Originally it had been used for memorization language created for communication before writing characters were invented. Later it evolved through thousands years, and it became an art for decoration which used in important days or festivals, used as button in traditional Chinese clothes and was assemble with precious jewellery for rich, etc. In Chinese culture, knot is a symbol of alignment and joy, particular in the past men and women exchanged knot to present their love. As today, it is still a symbol of love and prosperous, you may find that big knots are hang in many Chinese families in Spring festival. 

Trip to Menton where I received jewellery books in the old town

Menton is the last French city bordered with Italy. This afternoon we drove 40 minutes to get there from Nice. After passing Monaco, the next city is Menton. Have travelled some cities on the west sides of Nice, I did not expect big surprises from this boarder city. While as arriving, I got my first surprise by noticing a sign board wrote "La perle de la France". Pearl of France, why? I am going to discover the reason.

Later on I noticed that Menton is greener than Nice and air is fresher. we turned our car around the beach till arrived the port For searching a parking place,. I took a moment to walk out of the car and stood in the port to look back at the Menton on the hill besides the beach. The view is stunning beautiful! There are many typical Menton houses are in different size and different colors like yellow or orange. They are well located together in a certain unified way, like branch of grapes! After finding a parking place inside of old city, we finally started our visit. We walked around in the old town. In the top was a château in middle age and now is transferred into cemetery, where owns the the best sight view surrounding mountains and sea. Bacilica Saint- Michel is located in the middle height of the old town. We were quite lucky to meet the occasion that this church is open today. We walked inside, it is so gracious, and I think that it is one of the most beautiful church I have ever seen. Everywhere is hanging dark red curtain decoration around the main column and main interior structure; it is like a royal palace of the God. There are crystals lamps hang in the main corridor, they are just magnificent! Besides, there are many paintings and decorations in each chapel. It came to my mind to pray in front of a chapel of Jesus's birth. I prayed quietly for several minutes, each time I opened my eyes I felt more energy came inside of me, I felt the world are brighter in my eyes. 

We took a very short time to visit the shopping street after the church and then went back to find the way of our car parked. On the way, I suddenly noticed two men were reading several big books on the street. It caught my attentions because the jewelry photos on the covers of these books. I walked closed to ask "what are these books? Are they about jewelry?" They were quite friendly to let me read, yes, they are all about jewelry! Actually, surprisingly, there were bunch of books about different subjects of jewelry and I could recognize that they are prestigious classic jewelry books which are difficult to collect now. I could not believe my eyes! These two men told me that was an old woman who had given them these books to throw in the garbage when they were cleaning the street. They got interested to these books and started to flap over. They saw that I like so much these books, they send all of them to me. Lucky me, today! I was so happy that I pick up so many jewelry books occasionally! They are very valuable as they could explain so many questions for me to know more about jewelry: the origins, treatment and identification of pearls; gemstones knowledge; jewelry history though 7000 years, the beauty of jewelry, and gold jewelry design, etc. These are what I need, thanks God!

This necklace is originated from the imagination of a butterfly. It is assembled by 5.5mm little fresh water pearl in white, pink and light purple colours; plus other silver findings. It is an artistic design with imagination and fascination.

Of course pearl is and will be always my truly love for jewellery design, but this time, except its existing natural elegance, I mixed them with some other elements and used new ways to present pearl in a more contemporary, noble but leisure feeling.

Three pearls and its circle- Spring 2011 March

Three big white pearls with circles are the main theme for this necklace. It is one of the innovative designs I created for pearl. Circle enhanced the gracious and existence of pearl, it is a perfect alignment between pearl and its circle. This necklace is to present gracious charm of pearl with greetings to the floral spring season. It is the necklace to match your evening dress for a special occasion, and you name it.

Spring sunshine - Spring 2011 March

Ha, spring can really give people lots of different inspirations. Think about the right moment when winter just passed, and spring came. You are enjoying a beautiful spring sunny day; suddenly, you forget the grey and chilled winter time. This design is made based on this idea to present happy mood at the starting of spring season to welcome the brilliant sunshine. I selected a very shiny silver chain to represents the sunshine light on the earth; pearls look like the new leaves or fruit on the trees in the sunshine when it just came out with  the arrival of adorable weather.

I am jewellery designer

    I am jewelry designer. What is design? I understand, it is a process of creating something with inputting your heart and love but not to forget strongly considering and highly respecting to people who are going to use your designed works. Jewelry design is my passion, a way I found to demonstrate arts and beauty. I keep looking for beautiful things in my every day’s life, and try to illustrate them through my jewelries.

    Pearl is the center of my design. I admire its purity and elegancy, and in all, its beauty is truly formed from natural creation. I don’t know why I love pearl so much, and it has been what I have been passionate and dreamed with all these years. It seems has been closely tight with me in my life. Since I was little girl, I used to go to river side of my hometown and spend half an day to search for beautiful shell which has kind of dirty and rough surface, but stunning pure white with colorful light reflection inside where is the space raised the pearl. Shell the mother of pearl touched me naturally at that time, and I made boxes of shell collections. I found chances to present whoever guests in my home.

   Becoming a pearl jewelry designer, it was naturally happened on me. There was a period, in which I intensely asked myself: what is my life passion, what is my dream. I did not get answers. Long after, I started to play and design jewelries. It started suddenly, while the more I do it, the more I like. When I do jewelry design, it catches all my attentions, and I forget the rest of the world during that process and period (for this, I have to apology to my lovely husband). Gradually, jewelry design became one part of my life. Whenever I visit a new place or art exhibition, I inspired by beautiful things and try to demonstrate in my designs. I love natures, and believe or not, you may not imagine how much inspirations human can actually get out from it.
